For Australian Consumers

About The Program
The UK Carbon Trust launched the Carbon Reduction Label in 2007 to help companies identify greenhouse gas emission savings and help consumers understand how they can reduce their own carbon footprint. Companies that display the Carbon Reduction Label are making a commitment to reduce the carbon footprint of their product or service.
The label was launched in the UK with three products - chips, shampoo and smoothie drinks. But there are now hundreds of products including bread, milk, juice, cereal, sugar, potatoes, detergent, toilet and kitchen paper, light bulbs, clothing and appliances.
The Carbon Reduction Label Australia
Planet Ark and the UK Carbon Trust have launched the Carbon Reduction Label in Australia. There are currently three Australian Carbon Reduction Label Foundation Partners who have earned a label for one of their products - ALDI's everyday olive oil, the Dyson Airblade Hand dryer range and the Mobius Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc a product of The New Zealand Wine Company.
However this movement is not just happening in the UK and Australia, The Carbon Reduction Label is now appearing in 19 countries with labelled products having annual sales of around AUD 4.5 billion.
